To get good recordings, setting the recording level
properly is essential. This requires mastery of the trickier aspects of the Windows Mixer
and Sound Recorder. But, once you've learned a couple of tricks, you'll be the
multimedia wizard of your neighborhood and the envy of all your friends. Doesn't that make
you feel good?
To see Recording Levels, you have to find the Recording settings in the Windows mixer,
and open the Windows Sound Recorder, and have
them both visible on the screen at the same time and actually start recording
something. Whew! It's a good thing we don't have anything pressing engagements in the next
few days! (just kidding... 5 minutes is all it takes).
